BCTC - June 2010
Welcome to the Bad Company Track
Contest (BCTC), June 2010, hosted
by DarkBlazer and Dominik!
In the BCTC, your task is to build
a track on a given theme (see
below). Later on, all of the
entered tracks will be rated by
our judges and a winner will be
found.
The Details
Let's have a look at the details
of the contest:
Theme: No checkpoints - You must create a track (45secs to 1:30) with no checkpoints using only scenery and mediatracker to block the driver from cutting the track.
Deadline: Thursday the 17th of June 2010. Prizes: o The overall winner may pick a track for a showcase (in BC Forum) – a self-made creation or the work of someone else.
RULES:
No blockmixing! You may submit ONE track. Name your track "TrackName (BCTC)", where "TrackName" is whatever name you want to give the track. EXAMPLE: "No cps (BCTC)". The track must have been uploaded to the exchange between (and including) Tuesday the 1st and Thursday the 17th of June 2010.
Everyone can participate!!!
General tips:
The "General tips" are just recommendations. You won't get disqualified if you do not follow them, but they tend to help your track and its appreciation by general player population. Try making checkpoints respawnable. Ghost replays that show how to drive (GPS) do NOT relieve you of your moral obligation to provide guidance during the race (signs or other visual hints on where to go). Always provide your track on TMX with a screenshot that shows something from the track, and add a description of what can people expect if they play your track.
The Judging System A number of judges will rate the tracks on the following topics: Design – Flow, smoothness, layout, speed, transitions, stunts, difficulty, etc. The general "feel" of the track. Max 20 points/judge Scenery – Looks, non-driveable blocks, etc. Max 5 points/judge Media Tracker – All the MT aspects, from the intro and outro to in-game features.Max 5 points/judge Fun Factor – Sometimes a track can be poor in every way, but still extremely fun to drive. Depending on how fun the judges find your track, a few extra points can be given. Max 10 points/judge.
Theme – How does the track use the theme? Does it do something special to give it a special feeling or does it just do the minimum things needed for the compo and leave it at that?
For every found cut, track looses 2pts in "Theme".
If you want to volunteer as a judge, please send a PM to me! Good luck! If you have any questions, please ask away.

Re: BCTC - June 2010
Somehow it sounds exactly like the MTC
But it's only for BC members, isn't it? Why do you post in in the P+C forum on TMX then?

Re: BCTC - June 2010
lol. . .someone mustve copied it to the MTC. .
anyways, i wrote ,,everyone can participate'' so everyone CAN participate.
Its because of only 3 tracks last month.
Im hoping for at least 10 tracks this month. .
Mate, i admire your work with the MTC. .I thought hosting is easy, but it requires a lot of dedication.
